MindArch Health Fall 2024 Intern Projects

  • PROJECT APOLLO: Interns worked to find previous research studies to identify solutions within the machine learning model, and they mapped the studies to specific elements and 4P solution types.

  • PROJECT VENUS: Survey data from 5 different organizations was examined for risk factor and climate factor analytics. Two datasets were further examined for their inclusion in the MAP software.

  • PROJECT AUDIT: Intern audited MAP software according to the Logic Model and static content documents to identify inconsistencies.

  • PROJECT BERNESE: Interns wrote and published blog articles on the website that support MindArch Health’s mission.

  • PROJECT BLACK HOLE:  Interns researched literature and AI tools to inform a system for MAP to sort through and prioritize an institution’s mental health resources based on participants’ survey risk scores.

  • PROJECT CHIHUAHUA: Interns canvassed MindArch Health’s public mental wellbeing surveys across public sites, achieved over 150 responses, and identified the highest need protective factor amongst those surveys.

  • PROJECT NEPTUNE: Interns researched user experience tracking tools and best practices for collecting user experience data and proposed their findings to help improve MAP.

  • PROJECT POODLE: Interns created an executive summary with a single page prototype that can summarize the most important takeaways from each organization’s MAP’s Automated Evaluation and Implementation Report.

  • PROJECT JSON: Intern translated JSON file texts from the MAP application website to show static content in the users chosen language.

  • PROJECT BULLDOG: Interns outreached to student governments at universities and colleges to gain perspective on the mental health climate and the efforts of student governments to improve mental health on campus.

    Ashley Abraham is a journalism student at Stony Brook University on a pre-law track! At MindArch Health, Ashley got the opportunity to create original editorials on relevant mental health topics, as well as drafting a software demonstration video

    Mashrika (she/her) is a junior double majoring in Psychology and Sociology with a double minor in Health, Medicine, and Society and Women's and Gender Studies. She intends to pursue a career that bridges clinical psychology and research, focusing on mental health interventions for underserved populations.

    Nicole DePasquale (she/her) is a social work student at Stony Brook University graduating in 2026. She interned at MindArch throughout 2024 as an Operations Intern and Operations Lead Intern, helping to strengthen the software.

    I am Vedha, a Psychology and Sociology double major at Stony Brook University with a deep interest in mental health and community wellbeing. Through projects like Blackhole and Dachshund at MindArch Health, I gained valuable insights into mental health prevention and developed a strong foundation of professional work experience.
