As an intern at MindArch Health, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our team of experts in the fields of psychology, sociology, social work, education, and data science, gaining hands-on experience in cutting-edge technologies. Utilizing psychological and behavioral health data, our comprehensive approach involves assessment, data analytics, and participatory planning.

    • Socioecological Model Development: Assist in the evaluation, research and development of a socioecological model designed to predict the most effective protective behavioral solutions to reduce risks of mental and behavioral health disorders and guide teams in creating and executing an implementation plan.

    • Community Outreach: Conduct outreach efforts to conduct interviews for ongoing or social market research to better understand the feelings and needs in areas we support. 

    • Data Collection and Preprocessing: Assist in the collection and preprocessing of data related to mental and behavioral health from various sources, such as surveys, national data sets, and academic literature.

    • Data Analysis: Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns and trends in the data. Collaborate with the team to generate insights and actionable recommendations.

    • Machine Learning: Work on developing machine learning models to predict and analyze factors affecting mental and behavioral health in young individuals. This includes feature selection, model training, and evaluation.

    • Data Visualization: Create visually compelling and informative data visualizations to communicate findings and insights effectively to stakeholders.

    • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including psychologists, educators, and software developers, to integrate data-driven solutions into our products and services.

    • Research: Read and evaluate the latest research in mental and behavioral health, data analytics, machine learning, public mental health, population health and other relevant areas as needed. Share research findings in the form of presentations, reports, and discussions. 

      • Other areas of need as discussed or based on expressed interest.

    • Pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's or master's degree in a related field such as Sociology, Psychology, Research, Public Health, Computational Psychology, Data Sciences, Health Informatics, Software Engineering, UX/UI, Marketing, or a related discipline.

    • A passion for using data to address complex social issues, particularly in the context of mental and behavioral health.

    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and take initiative.

    • Previous experience with data analysis is a plus but not required.

    • Summer: 8 weeks

    • Fall/Spring: 12 weeks

    • As a remote (online) internship, when you work is relatively flexible.

    • However, there are some set intern hours throughout the week where all interns will be expected to be online and reachable.
